Robert Betters is the President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of RB Consulting, Inc. (“RBCI”). For nearly 20 years, Robert has led his firm in providing exceptional management and technology solutions to the federal government while also growing a team of competent professionals, many of whom are also veterans. Robert leads the firm’s strategy, has extensive experience in federal pursuit management and manages a geographically diverse team of support professionals in medical logistics, information technology, and program management. Robert has over 30 years of professional experience in supply chain management and information management / information technology (IM/IT) including software development, system integration, data migration, logistical automation, change management, training and business process re-engineering aspects in a development and operational environment. Having worked on projects domestically and internationally, Robert has partnered with leading companies as well as Federal Agencies to support mission critical initiatives that deliver practical and innovative results to his clients.
As the CEO of RBCI, Robert is responsible for taking charge of commercial, technical, and organizational interests; managing relationships with key stakeholders; providing leadership to managers of finance, human resources, business development, and information technology departments; enhancing operations, business development, and service delivery; making high-level decisions about policy and strategy; and setting the culture of the company. As a subject matter expert (SME) in medical logistics supply chain management, Robert also provides professional consulting services to the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Procurement & Logistics Office (P&LO) in the Supply Chain System Operational Feasibility and Assessment for the VHA Regional Readiness Centers (RRCs), which manages the COVID-19 Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for all VA Medical Centers (VAMCs).
Robert served in active duty in the U.S. Air Force with positions as a Forward Logistics Manager and Medical Logistics Specialist where he managed the inventory of four pharmacies, provided warehouse management support and purchasing.
Robert holds a Bachelor of Science in Business and Management from the University of Maryland, an Associate of Applied Science in Logistics from the Community College of the Air Force, and several industry certifications in IT and Project Management.
Robert currently resides in Ijamsville, Maryland, with his wife Madeleine, their son, Charles (6 years old), and their daughter, Alaina (4 years old).
