Janelle Askew is the Director of Engagement of the National Veteran Small Business Coalition. She is coming to NVSBC as an Air Force Veteran with having held positions in command and control, leading Military Treatment Facility (MTF) programs and overseeing MTF clinics throughout her military career. Janelle has served Veterans and their families in the civilian sector, ensuring they receive access to the best medical treatment in and outside the facilities. She also brings a background in customer service, project management, and operational efficiency. Janelle is a natural leader and problem solver and has proven her leadership to be effective in the positions that she has held thus far. Whether in a leadership position or working as an effective team member, she believes in having a true open-door policy where all voices and concerns are heard and respected. She thrives in environments that welcome teamwork, personal and professional growth and encourages diverse thoughts and ideas to come together in order to push the mission of the organization forward.
Janelle is a Texas native who now resides in Nebraska and has three daughters. She holds both a MS in Organizational Performance and a BS in Healthcare Management from Bellevue University. Janelle is a published author, a ministry leader within her church and within the local county jails. She is also a Life Purpose Empowerment Speaker and Podcaster who uses her voice to inspire and impact lives on social media. She enjoys spending time with family & friends and loves to read books on personal growth, faith, and leadership.
