On 29 October 2013, more than 80 different Angel and early stage investment groups, representing approximately $1 billion in investable wealth will join forces with the National Defense University Foundation to work directly with young military veteran entrepreneurs seeking to start their own businesses. We understand that young military veterans have too often been overlooked by the investment community that seek out successful entrepreneurs and provide the start-up capital needed to launch a new business.

Our goal is simple; we believe that Veterans have a unique set of skills, discipline, courage, and ability. If given the chance, our veterans are more than capable of launching and building successful companies. The launch of Veterans Venture Forum will give young veterans an opportunity to meet directly with experienced investors and pitch their entrepreneurial ideas. Veterans with outstanding ideas for new businesses, ability to start and run a new enterprise, and the passion to pursue the American dream will gain support and funding required from investors attending the Veterans Venture Forum Capstone Demo Day on 29 October 2013.
