U.S. Army to Release $100M IDIQ Job Order Contract in Support of U.S. Army Garrison Fort Lee, Virginia

The U.S. Army Mission and Installation Contacting Command (MICC), Fort Benning, intends to issue a solicitation for an Indefinite-Delivery, Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) Job Order Contract (JOC) to support the U.S. Army Garrison Fort Lee, Virginia. The resulting contract is anticipated to be valued at $90-$100M and will be a base one year and four (4) one-year option periods.

The scope of the contract includes providing all work, materials, supplies, parts, transportation, plan supervision, labor, and equipment – except when specified as Government-furnished – needed to repair or construct real property facilities at U.S. Army Garrison Fort Lee, VA.

The designated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction – a size standard of $35.5M. The procurement will be evaluated as best value Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA). A solicitation is anticipated to be released on or about October 10, 2012 with a proposal due date of approximately 30 calendar days from its release.

This requirement will be set-aside for small business (SB) with only the following SB economic groups considered for award: Woman-Owned (WO), 8(a), HUBZone, and Service-Disabled Veterans (SDV). Jack Beach, Chief, Small Business Programs at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is a big supporter of the SDV socioeconomic category and has encouraged as many certified/qualified SDV companies to respond to this requirement to help the U.S. Army make the right decisions.
