Janice Haith is a senior technology executive, strategist, and board member whose 3+ decades of collaborative leadership in public service has helped actualize digital transformation across the Federal IT enterprise. A former US Navy Chief Information Officer and current Senior Advisor/Board Member for diverse industry partners, Janice leverages her deep understanding of the Federal ecosystem to promote industry-government collaboration and drive technological innovation.
Senior Leadership roles include CIO, US Navy/Department of Navy (DON), Department of Defense (DOD) Senior Executive Service (SES), Director, Enterprise Operations & Federal Information Sharing Executive, and Strategic Industry Executive, Oracle Corporation.
In her current Strategic Industry Executive role at Oracle (since 2018), Janice oversees strategic relationships with the Federal Government and related agencies where she evangelizes modernized solutions, such as SaaS, Cloud, Autonomous Technology, and Data Analytics.
From 2010 to 2017, Janice drove critical cybersecurity and IT modernization initiatives as CIO for the US Navy and Deputy CIO for the Department of Navy. Her leadership is credited to have overcome cultural resistance to change and establish the Navy’s use of cloud-based technology and policy, US Navy Cloud First, which influenced modernization across the Federal enterprise. Janice led teams to restructure the US Navy’s risk management framework, implement a new secure internet protocol network, and overhaul DOD’s personnel security and credentialling management systems.
Janice’s earlier public service included Senior Executive Service (SES) at the Department of Defense (DOD) and progressively responsible management roles at DOD, US Airforce, and Department of Justice (DOJ).
With a passion to develop talent and support future leaders in STEM and public service, especially women, Janice serves as board member, mentor, and advisor for multiple organizations, including How Women Lead. She values her long-standing relationships as mentor, member, and officer with local chapters of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc and The Links, Inc.
Janice lives with her husband in the Washington DC area and is a member of the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD). Her outside interests include Pilates, travel, and STEM mentoring.
