October Tampa Chapter Meeting Information & Registration

We are now meeting the first Tuesday of each month to accommodate the growing audience. Please note that on your calendars.
In order to give a count to the catering company, please RSVP no later than Friday, Sept 29th (those that registered for the Sept 7th meeting, please confirm your attendance by sending an email to lynette.planto@nvsbc.org).
This event will sell out! This month’s guest speakers are from the Washington DC area and bring a topic we have all discussed in the recent months ~ Joint Ventures.
This month we welcome Heidi Gerding, CEO of HeiTech Services, and President on the NVSBC National Board of Directors, who currently serves as the mentor and Venturer Partner in four (4) JVs. She will share her candid story of the successful JV to pursue some large contract opportunities ($100M+). Her presentation covers the following areas: 1) deciding on a whether to pursue an SBA mentor-protégé relationship; 2) pros and cons to using an SBA M-P JV or Prime/Subcontractor relationhip; 3) finding a protégé; 4) obtaining SBA approval; 5) establishing the JV; 6) lessons learned from both perspectives (protégé and mentor).
PilieroMazza will be attending the meeting to discuss SBA’s new all small mentor-protégé and corresponding JV program and answering questions. PilieroMazza is a DC-based law firm specializing in small business federal government programs and is theNVSBC‘s advising counsel, to address the latest on key JV programs and regulations.
