Janelle Askew

Janelle Askew is the Director of Engagement for the National Veteran Small Business Coalition (NVSBC). An Air Force Veteran, she brings a diverse background in command and control, Military Treatment Facility (MTF) program leadership, and clinic operations. In both her military and civilian roles, Janelle has been dedicated to ensuring Veterans and their families receive the highest quality of care and support.

She brings deep experience in customer service, project management, and operational efficiency, paired with a natural ability to lead, solve problems, and build strong, collaborative teams. Janelle believes in a true open‑door approach where every voice is valued, and she thrives in environments that encourage teamwork, growth, and diverse perspectives to move the mission forward.

A Texas native now living in Kansas, Janelle is a mother of three daughters. She holds a MS in Organizational Performance and a BS in Healthcare Management from Bellevue University. She is also a three‑time published author, a ministry leader in her church and local county jails, and uses her voice to motivate, inspire, and encourage others. In her free time, she enjoys family, friends, and diving into books and videos on personal growth, love, faith, and leadership.
