NVSBC Mentor-Cohort Graduation Class 2025

New 2025-2026 Regional Fellowship Programs Set to Launch

The NVSBC Fellowship Program which provides individual Veteran small business owners (VSOBs) with mentoring and a curriculum tailored toward procurement, business readiness, and finance, will announce its selection of the 2025-2026 cohort this August.

The 9-month program is FREE to those selected as Fellows and includes in-person and virtual training as well as engagement activities designed to accelerate company growth and advance a healthy business ecosystem across our nation.

Marie Myszkier, Director of Training for NVSBC, commented that “Our mentorship program has proven itself to be transformative for our Fellows. The comradery across the cohort and the connection with Senior Fellows who themselves have built their own successful businesses and openly discuss not only the challenges but also the strategies that have worked for them.”

“Participating in the NVSBC Fellowship Program has been a powerful catalyst for our young business. This experience went beyond mentorship—it connected us with a supportive community of veteran-owned small businesses, large government contractors, and federal agencies, all committed to helping us collectively succeed in the federal marketplace. The combination of practical, targeted training in procurement, business readiness, and finance, along with the guidance of experienced mentors, equipped us to tackle real-world challenges with confidence. We’ve grown, not just in knowledge, but in resilience and connections that will support us well into the future. If you’re looking to navigate the complexities of government contracting, this program is a must!”

– Mark Jones, NVSBC Fellow

NVSBC is constantly refining the curriculum of its Fellowship Program to provide participants with the optimum mix of business management, critical thinking strategies and innovative and creative business approaches; ensuring that Fellows are well-prepared to lead and grow their companies through various business environments.

Myszkier points out that there are other benefits to our NVSBC model. “Our cohort structure provides several distinct advantages to our program. Because each regional cohort is filled by participants from that area, our Veteran business owners benefit from a network of local resources and strategic partners that often serve as accelerants in their business development efforts. We have also found that the Fellows in our cohorts tend to facilitate their own “iron-sharpening-iron” experiences – learning just as much from one another and collaborating at times to build their own government contracting businesses.”

The NVSBC Fellowship Program currently operates in the following locations:

The NVSBC Fellowship Program is made possible through the generous financial support of the Boeing Company through its Global Engagement Program and their commitment to the community of Veteran business owners.
