NVSBC offers 5 distinct categories of awards and celebrates more than 50 award winners annually. For more information about the criteria for each award, view the information below.

The Awards Categories
Champions
Champion of Veteran Enterprise Award
Recognizes the federal agencies and large business prime contractors who have met or exceeded the 5% SDVOSB and/or the 8% VOSB contract awards goals for veteran small businesses or increased contract dollar spend since previous fiscal year.
- Hall of Fame: Met SDVOSB/VOSB goal for 5 consecutive years
- Champions: Met SDVOSB/VOSB goal for previous fiscal year
- Rising Stars: Increased SDVOSB/VOSB contract dollar spend since previous fiscal year
Advocates
Veteran Small Business Advocate of the Year Award
Recognizes the following who went above and beyond in advocating for SD/VOSBs.
- Individual Federal Representative or Small Team (5 or less)
- Individual Large Prime Contractor or Small Team (5 or less)
- Individual Service Provider or Small Team (5 or less)
Mansfield
Gordon H. Mansfield Veteran Small Business Award
Recognizes a veteran who owns and operates a successful small business, provides employment opportunities to veterans, and gives back to the veteran community in a substantial and continuous way.
Business
Small Business of the Year
Recognizes a Veteran Owned (VOSB) or Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) who demonstrated exemplary “Best Practices” in the federal government with a successful track record and a commitment to strengthening Veteran-owned businesses within the community.
Employee
Small Business Employee of the Year
Recognizes a Veteran Owned (VOSB) or Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) employee who made a meaningful impact to their company and has demonstrated a commitment to the VOSB/SDVOSB community.
