Alfonso Alfaro

Alfonso Alfaro serves as the Engagement Associate for the National Veteran Small Business Coalition. Originally from Fayetteville, North Carolina, and now based in Florida, he supports member engagement, events, and strategic initiatives designed to further the success of veteran-owned small businesses within the federal marketplace. 

Mr. Alfaro retired as a Master Sergeant after 20 years with the United States Air Force Security Forces, where he acquired comprehensive leadership experience in law enforcement, antiterrorism, and force protection operations. His service encompassed installation security, nuclear security, contingency response, and maritime operations, all providing him with a robust and diverse operational background. 

He also excelled as an Instructor and Career Advisor, mentoring service members in training, education, and career advancement. These positions highlight his commitment to professional development, both his own and that of others, ensuring teams were equipped to achieve organizational goals. 

Alfonso holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and is currently pursuing an MBA with a Finance concentration at the University of South Florida’s Muma College of Business. He is experienced in project management and cybersecurity through professional certifications and hands-on experience. 

Leveraging his extensive leadership skills, cross-functional knowledge, and dedication to continuous improvement, Alfonso contributes significantly to advancing NVSBC’s mission. He is committed to promoting veteran success, fostering collaborative partnerships, and empowering members to enhance their influence within the federal contracting space.
