James Quilty is the Chief Executive Officer and founder of Poseidon on June 21, 2012.  He has a rich background in Information Technology with over 20 years in Information Technology Program/Project Management, Systems Engineering, and Information Security supporting military and law enforcement missions both as a Non-Commissioned Officer in the U.S Army (Military Intelligence) and as a government contractor at the Pentagon, FBI, and USSOCOM. James is on the Board of Directors as President for the Central Florida Chapter (CFC) National Veteran Small Business Coalition (NVSBC) and on the Advisory Counsel for Global SOF Foundation (GSF).

James’ experience in information technology includes project management, providing managerial oversight, collaborating with teams to provide vision and strategic direction in enterprise environments, coordinating, investigating and resolving network/service incidents, and leading ad-hoc engineering efforts to solve critical IT system and network problems in short lengths of time for sensitive U.S. government agencies.

James holds a Master’s in Business Administration with a Graduate Certificate in Information Security, with Distinction, from Keller Graduate School of Management and was inducted into the Sigma Beta Delta International Business Honor Society.  Additionally, he holds a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology where he graduated with great honor (Magna Cum Laude) from the American Inter-Continental University.

James is a U.S. Army Service Disabled Veteran, recipient of the Korea Defense Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medals, Certificate of Appreciation from Lisa Costa, CIO USSOCOM, NSOCC-A/SOJTF-A Certificate (with Flag flown in AFG), Certificate of Appreciation (9/11 Pentagon Attack), and a Certificate of Appreciation from Madeleine Albright, Secretary of State. An active member of Project Management Institute (PMI)AFCEA of Tampa – St. Petersburg Pelican Chapter, the National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA)Women In Defense (WID) and Veterans of Foreign War (VFW).
