Akinwande Oshodi (PMP, CISA, CDFM) is the Founder and CEO of The Avery Group, LLC (TAG), a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business aimed at spearheading the continuous process improvement, quality assurance, and systems integration projects for a range of Federal clients to include CDC, FDA and the VA.
Akinwande is an accomplished strategic leader who has spent over a decade managing complex projects and implementing enterprise-wide solutions for leaders in the Government, Military, Healthcare, IT, and Finance industries. Born in Lagos, Nigeria, Akinwande emigrated to Newark, NJ, where it was instilled in him that the measure of a man was his determination to succeed. With that mindset, he joined the US Army at the age of 17 to serve his country. Through his military career, Akinwande garnered multiple accolades for his contributions to Operation Iraq Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom.
Akinwande is a 2020 graduate of the Veteran’s In Procurement (VIP) start and has been the Treasurer of the National Contract Management Association’s Atlanta chapter for the past two years. Akinwande is deeply committed to his community by promoting leadership and mentorship
opportunities for African American youth. To this end, Mr. Oshodi is an active member of the 100 Black Men of Greater Washington DC, sits on the board of INROADS Alumni network, and serves on the Finance committee for Brookhaven Innovation Academy. As a collegiate athlete and
lifetime basketball enthusiast, Akinwande believes in leveraging athletics and mentorship to encourage accountability, teamwork, and leadership skills among youth. In his free time, Akinwande enjoys crushing the competition at family game night with his wife, Jarell, and their two young children, Avery and Jalen
